Chili garlic stir fried green beans is a great side dish to add to your meals. They pair perfectly well with Asian style noodles, fried rice or soups. These green beans are cooked to perfection with right amount of crunch, spiciness and delicious garlic flavour.
Ingredients
Fresh green beans - 12 oz(340 grams)
Oil* - 1.5 tablespoons
Low-sodium soy sauce - 1.5 tablespoon
Garlic - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Honey - 1 teaspoon( optional)
Crushed red pepper - 1/2 teaspoon or to taste
Salt To taste
Crushed black pepper To taste
*Oil- I prefer to use peanut oil for stir-frying.

For electric pressure cooker:
1. Wash and trim the ends of green beans.
2. Add water 1 cup of water to inner pot and keep the trivet. Add the steamer insert or a heatproof container. Add the beans to the steamer insert. Close lid and set the pressure cook to 'Low Pressure' and set time to zero minutes.
3. As soon as the pressure cooker reaches the set pressure and beeps, release any excess pressure immediately. Take out the beans and run under cold water and drain. Set aside the beans.
4. Empty the inner pot of the electric pressure cooker and turn on 'Saute' mode. Once it gets hot, add the oil and chopped garlic. Cook for 30 seconds and add the chilli flakes. Add the beans. Cook for 30 seconds. Add the soy sauce, honey (optional), salt and pepper. Cook for an additional minute until everything is well combined.
5.Turn off the saute mode and the beans are ready to serve!
Instructions for stovetop cooking:
1. Wash and trim the ends of green beans.
2. In a large pot boil water. Add the beans and cook for 2-3 minutes. Take out the beans and run under cold water and drain. Set aside the beans.
3.Heat a pan on medium high heat. Once it gets hot, add the oil and chopped garlic. Cook for 30 seconds and add the chilli flakes. Add the beans. Cook for 30 seconds. Add the soy sauce, honey(optional), salt and pepper. Cook for additional one minute till everything is well combined. Turn off the heat and the beans are ready to serve!
This looks very very good! I'm thinking of make some Nem Nuong sausage meatballs with it as well as adding one potato diced. I'm sure it'll be very good! I just printed it out and after I finish what I made today I'll do this one! Thanks for the great idea!!!
